Did you know that General Communications sold the first 4G phone in the United Kingdom, yes, you read that correctly, the first 4G mobile telephone in the UK!.
Way back in October 2012 EE launched the 4G Network and chose Cardiff as one of only a handful of UK Cities to do so. The lucky recipient is a company based in Cardiff called Root Metrics and history was made.
Root Metrics confirmed that ‘when tested, EE continues to impress in UK wide and shined at national level, winning or sharing all six UK Root Metric Awards for the third consecutive test period’.
In 2019 EE will launch 5G in key cities and again Cardiff is one of only 6 Cities chosen, London, Edinburgh, Belfast, Birmingham & Manchester being the others.
Be the first to experience 5G, If you would like any further information about the next generation connectivity, speed & phones contact our customer services on 02920 752628 we know you’ll will be impressed!
